I’ve had a camera since I was a kid, I still have my enlarger in the basement, and I am shooting film again and digital–they call me a “Hybrid” shooter. Someone who shoots both film and digital cameras.
I would describe my style as classic, simple, timeless and fun. I want you to remember your day as you planned it, I also want you and everyone around you to be as calm and comfortable as possible. I think coming from a large family has helped in my business…a lot of family dynamics, and I love it!
It’s also super important to stay flexible, but on a schedule so no one is stressed out. I love working with fantastic planners so we can collaborate together on the perfect timeline for your day. I’ve got a system.
I also love beautiful things, so thats why I’ve loved being a wedding photographer for all these years. There is something magical about two people and their families and friends coming together to celebrate LOVE together. It’s one of my favorite things.
“Once upon a time there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering.”

It started in the 80’s while painting mascara mustaches on my brother and his friends at sleep overs…photographed with a keystone camera…waiting until mom developed the film.
Next came classes at Southeastern Center for the Arts, an internship with a fashion photographer in Atlanta, and then my mentor: Priscilla Wannamaker. I learned a lot from her, and she was so supportive! I also continue in education in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I’ve studied under some really cool folks, my favorite being Andrew Eccles.
Now I continue to push myself, trying new things, but staying true to who I am and not doing anything too trendy. I like to say that your images should stand the test of time and look timeless, like Grace Kelly. Not like the images from the 80’s where you have a floating head in one corner and you looking at the camera in the first image! Am I dating myself?
